Kogi APC Senate Primary: Yusuf Haruna Charge Delegates on Choice of Credible Candidate

A leading aspirant for Kogi Central Senatorial District, Mallam Yusuf Haruna has called on the people of the area to uphold the unwritten constitution of political rotation of seat ahead of the primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In an interview with newsmen in his country home at Nagazi in Adavi Local Government Area, Mall. Haruna noted that it will amount to political marginalisation for the people of Ajaokuta, Okehi and Ogori/Magongo Local Government Areas for only two local governments producing the Senator since the creation of the state.
While encouraging delegates ahead of the primary not to be intimidated and choose candidate that would bring development, the leading aspirant further urged them to wisely vote for equity, fairness and justice.
Mall Haruna who insisted that the National Assembly is meant for people of proven track record, argued that the era of inactive legislation in the Red Chamber would definitely come to o an end with his presence at the senate.
He called on other aspirants to play the game according to the rule as the quest for representation should devoid of violence.
On the purported threat to remove the names of some delegates if they fail to vote a certain anointed candidate, the leading aspirants called on the delegates to dismiss such threat as empty, stressing with his involvement in the Senatorial primary, no power can intimate them against their choice.
He promised to defend them if assaulted by by any force of retrogression in the area.
