Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, has flagged off the rehabilitation of roads, drainage systems, and erosion control projects in the Ganaja–Gadumo axis.

Speaking at the event, Rep Sanni appreciated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and former Governor Yahaya Bello for giving him the opportunity to serve his people

He urged constituents to hold him accountable by reporting unmet needs for onward engagement at the National Assembly and with state under the leadership of Gov Ododo. He described the road project as “a lifeline” that will improve security, boost economic activities, and enhance the area’s outlook.

Hon. Sanni noted that the project is the result of sustained advocacy in Abuja, recalling his motion on the floor of the National Assembly which attracted national attention that led to intervention on the flood-damaged Ganaja road in recent time.

He said the flag-off fulfills a key campaign promise, highlighting other projects in the area, including a transformer in Simbabi, motorised borehole, solar street lights, and support for health and education facilities. He also disclosed plans for a new market by the state government under the leadership of Gov Ahmed Usman Ododo to stimulate the local economy and assured that he would monitor the road project to ensure quality standards.

Dignitaries present included former House of Representatives members Barr. Muhammad and Hon. Kabiru Ajana; the Commissioner for Urban and Housing Development, Hon Taiye Abanika; party leaders; the Special Adviser to the Governor; the APC Chairman candidate, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor; as well as community leaders, women’s groups, and youth groups.
