Governor Idris Orders Rehabilitation of Major Roads in Kabba to Encourage Hon. Yusuf Tajudeen

As part of his desire to boost economic activities in rural and major communities in Kogi State, Governor Ibrahim Idris has ordered immediate rehabilitation of roads in Kabba, headquarters of Kabba-Bunu/ Ijumu Federal Constituency.

Governor Idris gave this directive at the closing ceremony of a Summer School Initiative, in Kabba.

Governor Idris said, “because of the strategic position of Kabba in terms of economic, social and political development, it becomes absolutely necessary to provide asphalt-lay quality roads in the town”.

He also revealed that his government has consistently enjoyed the support of the people of Kabba, “hence my government is committed to reciprocating their love.

“As a government, having observed the passion and commitment of the lawmaker representing the Federal Constituency, we have resolved to embark on the
rehabilitation of major roads in Kabba to encourage him”.

The organiser of the Summer Studies Initiative, Honourable Yusuf Tajudeen, thanked Governor Idris for the gesture and solicited for, “more infrastructural projects in the towns within the Federal Constituency; as a way of opening up the communities for meaningful growth and development.

Scholarships were awarded to 24 Senior Secondary School Students, who emerged top at the end of the five-week Summer School Studies, which took place in seven centres across the Federal Constituency.

About 2,000 students attended the Programme, which the lawmaker promised, would be improved in terms of content, quality, participation and incentives, in subsequent years.
