Commercial activities in the ancient and oil rich town of Gegu Beki, Kogi LGA, stood still, on Sunday, as Members of 4G Network staged a Solidarity Walk for President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo, assuring that the Local Government Area is a no go area for opposition Parties.
Speaking at the walk, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, described the walk as just testing the microphone, said it is obvious that President Tinubu and Gov. Ododo have no rival.
The roads became block as the sounds of drums, matching in white colored T-shirts and face caps, with the pictures of President Tinubu, Gov. Ododo, the APC took over the streets.
Motorists captivated by the walk and passion displayed by the people of Gegu Beki, had no choice but to alight from their vehicles, Join in singing that on the mandate of President Tinubu and Gov Ododo is where they stand.
Speaking further, Engr. Bashiru said ” You can see the sea of heads. You can see the optimism. You can see the passion. This is a reflection of what to expect for Mr. President and Gov. Ododo”.
“Kogi LGA and by extension Kogi State as a whole is a brick wall, no go area, perfectly firm in the grip of the APC”, described 2027 as a watershed in all elections, pointing out that the APC will experience a clean sweep.
“Our people are resolute. Our people have resolved . Kogi LGA, particularly, Gegu has been sealed, will be delivered for Mr. President, Gov. Ododo and the APC in all the election”.
“We are not making any mistakes. President Tinubu and Gov Ododo are winning teams. We can’t afford to toy with the destiny of Nigeria and Kogi State. Another term in office for the duo of Mr. President and Gov. Ododo is going to allow for consolidation, sustainability and all round growth and development”.
The Commissioner described the turnout as unusual. “This is not a surprise. Mr. President and Gov. Ododo have shown capacity, sincerity and dedication to the Nigeria and Kogi projects. No stone will be left unturned in their safe return to Aso Rock and Lugard House. As we speak. There is no vacancy in Aso Rock. Lugard House has already been taken. Thank you the people of Gegu Beki. This unprecedented show of love you have shown and displayed will be replicated in your welfare and development”.
In his remarks, the Coordinator of the 4G Network, a strong political network in Kogi Local Government Area, Hamza Source, noted that the Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu, is a grassroots politician who speaks for his people and handles issues where it matters most at the grassroots.
“He command political following. He is a politicians who has made the people first and top priority. Our walk today is a reflection of the benefits of democracy he has attracted to us. We are solidly standing on the mandate of President Tinubu. Gov. Ododo has no alternative. We have spoken and we are committed to standing by our words and actions”.
The Network stressed that the massive turnout at Gegu Beki residents was a clear demonstration of where the people stand.
The 4G Network praised Engr. Bashiru for showing and leading Kogi LGA, said irrespective of Political Party, he has lived above board, pointing out that in the history of Kogi LGA, he has no rival in making the people his top most priority and agenda.
