A former Vice Presidential aspirant of Kogi State University (KSU), Anyigba Students Union Government (SUG), Comrade Jacob Abraham Damilare, has applauded the management of the University for given a provisional registration opportunity to students to enable them sit for  2016/2017 first semester examination.
A statement by Damilare, on Thursday in Ayigba, said that the university management deserved every reason to be applauded for such great decision, saying it was a good gesture towards the students.
Damilare, who is also a final year student of Sociology Department of the institution, said it was obvious that the management understood the unfriendly economic situation in the country and as such, giving students such an opportunity would go a long way.
He noted that those students who were yet to pay their school fees, would have gone through a lot of psychological trauma that could affect their academic performances, stressing that the school management has taken a wise and considerable decision.
“Kogi State university management have proven beyond doubt that they too are considerate enough to understand the plight of the students of the institution.
“The best we can say as students to our school management for this wonderful opportunity is to say a big ‘Thank you’.
“As students, we understand that there are terms and conditions applicable to this kind gesture offered to us by the management; we will surely comply.
“It is glaring that this decision of the management will not just put smiles on students’ faces, but also parents and guardians who find it difficult to foot their children’s school fees due to unforseen circumstances.
“Kogi State university students will always remain grateful and will continue to be law abiding,” Damilare said.
