Christmas: Wada Urge Nigerians to Revive Brotherly Love and Service to Humanity

The Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada has congratulated all Nigerians for witnessing another Christmas/ end of the year 2013 and enjoined them to use the atmosphere offered by the yuletide for the revival of brotherly love and service to humanity. The Governor in a message signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Jacob Edi urged Christians and other Nigerians to use the Christmas season for meditation and somber reflections on the ideals of love and care for the needy which he said Jesus Christ lived and died for.

In the statement, the governor noted that this year’s yuletide is unique for the people of Kogi State in that it falls within the period marking the second anniversary of his administration in office. He thanked people of the state for their cooperation which he noted were responsible for the successful implementation of his Transformation Agenda and assured that in the coming year, his administration is poised to take Kogi State to the next level.

In the midst of the festivities, the Governor called on Nigerians to spare some time for prayers for genuine peace and progress of the country and for its leadership. He advised travelers to be mindful of other road users and warned against extreme conditions of gluttony and alcoholism.
