Cristiano Ronaldo believes Manchester United can win the Premier League and the Champions League if they can add maturity to their game consistently.

The 36-year-old scored twice in his first game back at United on Saturday as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sealed a 4-1 win over Newcastle United.

The result moves United to the top of the Premier League – although Chelsea, Liverpool, and Everton can join them on 10 points with wins this weekend.

Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford has elevated them to potential title challengers after a summer where the club also added Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to the squad.

The brilliant No.7 marked his second debut with the opening two goals in the 4-1 victory over Newcastle United told Journalist after the game said ‘We have a fantastic team, a young team with a fantastic coach. But as I have said before, we have to build up our confidence.

‘The team needs to be mature if we want to win the league and if we want to win the Champions League, and I think we are in a good way.

‘We have to win games, build up the confidence, build up the team and I am here to help the team.’

However, Juventus bought Ronaldo from Real Madrid to help them win the Champions League, believing that having him in the team can give them what they want. Unfortunately for desperate Juventus, he could not even take them to the Champions League final before he left them.

The same thing is happening to Manchester United supporters now, the expectation on him is too much. In as much as we applaud him for how brilliant and clinical he is at the goal yard box, we should also think that only he cannot do the work.

Ole side has not played any important game season start and as such, they are going to their season on a high side, they would begin their Champions League Campaign with Young boys, having this start cannot justify that Manchester United can win Champions League.

In the meantime, this is football anything can happen. While we enjoy Ronaldo’s return, our expectations who be minimal so that he can concentrate.

As it stands now, Man United is sharing tables with Chelsea, Liverpool maybe Everton would join later in the evening, but is too early to give honor to whom honor has not given to yet. They have not played any competitive match this season, so what is the point of having Champions League thought on your lips?
