The Lokoja Youth Advancement Forum (LOYAF), the umbrella body of all youth associations in Lokoja and its environs, has passed a vote of confidence on Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the House of Representatives, Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.
The declaration followed an extensive meeting of the forum’s executive and members drawn from Lokoja and Kogi Local Government Areas. At the meeting, the group reviewed Ibrahim’s contributions and commitment to the youth cause.
In a statement signed by its Secretary, Comrade Abubakar Muhammed, LOYAF said the PDP candidate had been consistently supportive of young people in the area, standing with them “in good and challenging times.”

According to the forum, Ibrahim’s doors have always been open to the youth, and his support for youth empowerment, education, skills development and participation in governance has been unmatched.
“We in LOYAF have seen in him a leader who listens, a leader who cares, and a leader who believes in the potential of Lokoja youth,” the statement said.
The group added that the candidate stood by the youth “when others turned away” and had invested his time, resources and influence in uplifting young people in Lokoja and Kogi.
“For this reason, we the entire youth under LOYAF pass a vote of confidence on Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim and declare our total support for his aspiration to represent Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives,” the statement read.
LOYAF described Ibrahim as “the right man for the job” and urged all well-meaning youths, women, elders and stakeholders in Lokoja and Kogi LGAs to rally round him for effective and people-oriented representation.
“Hon. Abdulkadir Ibrahim is a true friend of the Lokoja youth, and the youth are solidly behind him,” the forum stated.
