I wish to draw the attention of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello to his promise to the people of Ibaji local government in his first term on the construction of the Idah – Onyedega – Iyanwo – Uje road.

The current state of Idah – Onyedega road has made the Ibaji people to be completely been cut off from the rest part of the state, as their only means of transportation to Idah is through the water ways.

His Excellency should remember that Ibaji local government is an agrarian community. Products from their farms are ferried to either Anambra, Delta or Edo states as occasioned by the present state of the road, thereby making Kogi and her people to loose a lot of revenue to these states.

The state government should utilise the forthcoming dry season to mobilise contractors to site so as to give the people of the area a sense of belonging in the state, more so that Ibaji local government was one of the local governments that APC won in the last gubernatorial election.

Thanks you in anticipation of the fulfillment of this promise.
