The PDP House of Representatives candidate for Dekina/Bassa Federal constituency in Kogi state, Comrade Usman Austin Okai, has sent a message of felicitations to two prominent traditional rulers, the Onu Abocho, His Highness Jonah Idris and Onu Iyale, His Highness Drisu Wada Akogu after the beading ceremony.
Okai, in a statement he personally signed, tasked the new monarchs on the glaring need to protect the sacred traditional hub as custodian of our culture.
The PDP candidate stated both royal fathers are coming at a time when the two giant communities need more advises from elders, particularly the traditional class, so as to preserve the traditional legacies and imbibe new modest orientation on general conducts.
He urged the two traditional institutions to demonstrate and protect the high traditional ladder the areas were known for over the decades, expressing confidence that their reigns will usher more peaceful coexistence, security, economic boom and social security.
He also appealed to their subjects to display more solemn disposition towards the traditional class, saying they remain the rallying point in all ramifications.
He wished the new traditional rulers many more years and peaceful reign on the throne of their forefathers, maintaining that their reign will usher in more development and blessings to the areas.
