…Predators Auctioned NAKOSS for N2m

The recent crisis that engulfed National Association of Kogi State Students, NAKOSS, is yet to subside as a Presidential aspirant, Comrade Idris Umaru Girinya (Humble) is calling for the cancellation of the election that produced Comrade  Usman Ahmed (Seme).

In a press conference today in Lokoja, Girinya described the 22nd December 2016 NAKOSS election as a charade that violates the electoral act and constitution of the association.

Girinya, who spoke through the Director General of his campaign organisation, Abdullahi Ismaila said aside contravening the electoral act, Usman Ahmed Seme, who is in the last semester at Kogi State University, Anyigba was not qualified to contest in the first instance.

“The Association has a constitution as well as an electoral act which serves as guidelines for proper electoral conducts and peaceful processes.

“Some former NAKOSS leaders, through a dubious harmonization process, ‘selected’ one Usman S. Ahmed as the NAKOSS President on 21st December, 2016 in Mohammed Ali’s house at Old Poly Quarters. Their attempted imposition is null and void as he do not fulfil any of the requirements of the electoral act or constitution of NAKOSS.

“According to the electoral act;

there shall be electoral and advisory committee as well as reconciliation committee and every information as regards the convention should be aired on media for public consumption.

As I speak, all of the above stated constitutional provisions of NAKOSS was tactically avoided by the so-called stakeholders”

Girinya alleged that ‘NAKOSS was auctioned for two million Naira’ by the stakeholders. He called for the disqualification of the Usman Ahmed and postponement of the election.
