The Permanent Member 1 of the Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Hon. Yahaya Audu has assured Governor Yahaya Bello of his people’s keenness to support his re-election in 2019.
Okumoh gave the assurance gave the assurance on Saturday after the All Progressives Congress (APC) congress in Abuga-Ozuga ward, Okene local government.
Abuga – Ozuja is the largest ward in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, the same local government the Kogi State Governor hails from.
The community is also known for active participation in politics and also a decider in winners of elections in the local government for many years now.
The energetic people of Abuga – Ozuga trooped out in their hundreds to participate in the APC ward congress and reaffirm their support for Governor Yahaya Bello and one of their most illustrious sons, Hon. Yahaya Audu, fondly called Okumoh.
Hon. Okumoh, while addressing the newly elected party executives of the ward, said he is positive in the grass root political antecedents of the executives and and with the rising support for Governor Bello and the All Progressives Congress in the state.
He charged the new executives to make the community proud by ensuring the re-election of Governor Bello, stressing that their qualities and readiness to serve were signs of assurance for Governor Bello’s victory come 2019.
The Permanent Member 1 who was accompanied by some stakeholders including the former Head of Service, Kogi State, Mrs Hassanat Lawal amongst others.
The Accountant General of Kogi state, Alhaji Momoh jubril commended the party faithful for defying the heavy down pour to display their loyalty for the success of the congress.
Proceeding with his entourage to the Palace of the Ohindase the Great of Okengwe, Hon. Okumoh reiterated that the people have confirmed beyond doubt that they were ready to support the government of Governor Bello and the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
He called on his people not to relent in their support for Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC to afford him the opportunity to consolidate on his New Direction Agenda which his poised at improving the lives of the masses.
The grass root politician encouraged the newly elected executives with huge funds to kick start their activities. The ward stakeholders, youth, women and cultural groups also received cash gifts from the generous politician who is regarded as the leader of Abuga – Ozuja Ward.
