The All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) has said it was ready for the gubernatorial election in Kogi State.

ANPP National Chairman, Ogbonnaya Onu, who stated this while addressing journalists in Abuja, said his party would field competent candidate that would enable the party win the elections.

Onu stated that the people of Kogi State gave his party a chance in the past, expressing confidence that the people would replicate their loyalty.

He refuted reports that the national headquarters of the party abandoned the Kogi State chapter, adding that, “Our relationship with the Kogi State chapter is cordial.” “We have never at any time neglected them. We are conducting primary election in Kogi State”

“The Kogi chapter of our party relates with us very well and the people of the state have tested us and I am confident that they are going to give us maximum support,” Onu stated

Calling on Nigerians to give his party a chance, which he said will improve the standard of living of Nigerians, Onu stated that the ANPP was a party that cared for the less privilege.

“Nigeria needs a team that will change the present polity not a party that will rule forever.
“The PDP has been ruling since 1999, but Nigerians, unlike before, now sleep with two eyes open. If ANPP is given a chance, things will definitely change,” he said Meanwhile, the ANPP has also described the last 100 days of President Goodluck Jonathan as worrisome and clueless, saying there was nothing to show for it.
Onu said the inability of Jonathan to perform or even lay foundation for his much talked about transformation agenda in the last 100 days was worrisome.
