Dear Senator Karimi,

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment and concern about the completely bad rice you sent to Ijumu LGA as a Christmas gift. As the Chairman of the rice distribution in my local government, I can attest that the rice is not just bad, but not even worthy of chicken feed, let alone human consumption. Out of the 450 bags of 40kg rice delivered, about 300 were completely bad, and the rest were either half bad or on the verge of spoiling.

It’s shocking that as a sitting senator representing the good people of Kogi West Senatorial District, you would distribute such low-quality rice to your constituents. It would have been better not to give anything at all during this festive season than to give something that’s essentially worthless. In fact, Kabba-Bunu LGA rejected their allocation and asked you to come and pick it up.

I was personally on the ground to share the rice, and I have to say that the contrast between what you provided and what the state government gave is stark. The best way to describe it is that the Kogi State Government feeds its citizens at Christmas, while you, Senator Karimi, feed your constituents’ chicken. This is not only embarrassing but also a clear indication that you’re not taking the needs of your constituents seriously.

As someone who has been praised for his representation and commitment to his constituents, including his scholarship scheme, women empowerment programs, and infrastructure projects, it’s surprising to see you fall short in this aspect. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and make amends to provide better support to your constituents in the future.
