The university town of Anyigba is beaming with anticipation ahead of the convergence of the people of Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

The political and developmental aspirations of the Federal Constituency will converge for a defining Town Hall Meeting, a gathering that must rise above the ordinary rituals of political meetings to become a powerful declaration of unity, collective responsibility, grassroots mobilisation and commitment to the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come January 2027.

With the theme “Unity for Sustainable Development in Kogi East Senatorial District,” the meeting represents an opportunity to strengthen political understanding, consolidate cooperation among stakeholders and renew the determination to translate collective aspirations into measurable progress.

The venue is M & G Hotel, now New Man Hotel, along Anyigba–Itobe Road, Anyigba, Kogi State.

The time is 12 noon.

The Dekina/Bassa Town Hall will  be a platform for meaningful engagement, not merely speeches and applause, but honest conversations about the needs, expectations and future of the people in the renewal of the mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates from top to bottom in the 2027 general election.

The WWT Town Hall meeting, the 6th in the series, offers stakeholders an opportunity to strengthen these connections, encourage constructive participation and build a more coordinated relationship between political leadership and the communities they represent.

For the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Win With Tinubu (WWT) initiative, the task is clear: organise effectively, communicate responsibly, listen attentively and demonstrate through credible engagement why the party’s programmes and policies deserve public consideration.

Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the national conversation has centred on economic reforms, infrastructure, agricultural development, education, enterprise and the restructuring of public finances.

The Town Hall would encourage stakeholders to identify priorities, articulate community needs and pursue practical channels through which those needs can receive attention and speak loudly through their votes for the APC.

The presence of Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho( conveners of WWT, and several others underscores the importance attached to engagement, coordination and development across party and constituency structures.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents the national administration whose policies are central to the WWT mobilisation effort.

The Win With Tinubu initiative carries an unmistakable political objective: to mobilise support for President Tinubu and the APC as the country approaches the 2027 general elections.

The Dekina/Bassa Town Hall presents an opportunity to strengthen the initiative’s grassroots presence, deepen communication with stakeholders and encourage peaceful, issue-based political participation.

The Town Hall would encourage an atmosphere in which stakeholders can exchange ideas, resolve misunderstandings and identify areas of common purpose. It should reinforce the understanding that political competition need not destroy community relationships and that disagreement need not become permanent hostility.

As stakeholders gather at Anyigba, the message must be unmistakable: unity requires work, development requires planning, mobilisation requires organisation, and leadership requires accountability.

On Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 12 noon, the call is to Dekina/Bassa: come with ideas, come with purpose, come ready to engage, and come prepared to contribute to a stronger, more united and development-focused Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.

Let us win with Tinubu through organisation, engagement and a shared commitment to progress.

Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare,

Chief Media Strategist, WWT, writes from the venue of the meeting at Anyigba
