The Ida-Ovu Community of New Zango in Adavi Local Government Area has marked this year’s annual prayers in grand style.
The opening prayer was offered by Chief Imam Ramiu of the Alhaji Ibrahim Giwa Juma’at Mosque. During his remarks, he stated that Alhaji Giwa is the first individual to donate two transformers and construct a high-quality road for the Ida-Ovu Community.
He prayed that Allah would enrich his pockets abundantly and grant him long life and good health to continue his good work of touching people’s lives.
The Chairman of the Onyi Ododo Forum, Mallam Musari Salawu, expressed his joy for the Ida-Ovu community over the blessings God has bestowed upon them. He further prayed that Almighty Allah would extend the same gesture to their own community.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Adavi East Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammed I. Aliyu (Wazo), stated that the Ida-Ovu community is one and indivisible. He assured residents that he will carry everyone along to ensure inclusive representation if he secures the mandate at the polls.
The Chairman of the Ida-Ovu Community, Hon. Yunusa Osuwa, expressed joy over the turnout of the occasion, adding that Ida-Ovu was created by Allah and is the one protecting the land.
He expressed gratitude to God for the provision of two boreholes during his tenure as the community chairman, highlighting that the APC chairmanship and House of Assembly candidates for Adavi East both originate from his community.
He stated that the numerous developments achieved during his tenure are enough reason to give all the glory to God Almighty.
During his closing remarks, the father of the community, Adayi Muhammed, gave thanks to Almighty Allah for His continued mercy upon the entire Ida-Ovu community.
