A former All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant in Kogi West, Ustaz Abubakar Zakari Ola, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, describing his passing as a significant loss to the state.
In a condolence message released on Monday, Ola noted that the former governor’s years in public service left an enduring mark on both the political and developmental history of Kogi State.
Describing the late leader as a prominent figure whose contributions to the state’s growth would remain memorable, the former senatorial aspirant commiserated with the Idris family, political associates, and the people of Kogi State. He urged them to draw strength and comfort from the former governor’s dedicated years of service to humanity.

Ola offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, while praying for God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
