PDP Screens, Clears Muhammed Abdullahi ‘Elephant’ for Kogi East Senatorial Primary

Alhaji Muhammed Abdullahi, popularly known as “Elephant,” has been officially screened and cleared by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to participate in the forthcoming party primary election for the Kogi East Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The screening exercise, conducted by the PDP as part of preparations for the 2027 elections, brought together aspirants contesting various elective positions under the platform of the party.

Speaking shortly after the exercise, Abdullahi expressed appreciation to party leaders, supporters, and the people of Kogi East for their continued encouragement and confidence in his aspiration.

“Today, I successfully participated in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) screening exercise for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections,” he said.

“I came fully prepared with all the required credentials and supporting documents, and I am pleased to announce that I have been officially screened and cleared to participate in the forthcoming PDP primary election for the Kogi East Senatorial District.”

The senatorial aspirant described the development as another significant milestone in his political journey and reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, grassroots development, and people-centered leadership.

According to him, his aspiration is rooted in a genuine desire to improve the lives of the people through quality legislation, empowerment programmes, infrastructural development, and economic opportunities across Kogi East.

“Our people deserve purposeful leadership that understands their challenges and is ready to provide practical solutions that will improve their standard of living,” he stated.

Abdullahi further emphasized that, if elected, his focus would be on youth and women empowerment, educational support programmes, healthcare improvement, rural road development, agricultural support, job creation, and economic growth within the district.

“I remain committed to building a better future for our people through inclusive leadership, unity, and sustainable development. Kogi East has enormous potential, and together we can achieve meaningful progress,” he added.

He also pledged to continue engaging with communities across the district and assured party faithful of a peaceful, issue-based, and people-oriented political process ahead of the primaries.

Supporters and political stakeholders across Kogi East have continued to express optimism over his participation in the primary election, describing him as a grassroots politician with a strong record of philanthropy and community support.
