I want to state categorically and affirmatively that I have not withdrawn from the Kogi State House of Assembly Election in Yagba West Constituency. I am still in the race. At no time have I conscientiously contemplated such cowardly move, even if I must admit there was at a point pressure from family members to “be careful”.
These pressures though not in doubts of my ability to succeed or perform creditably, but due to obvious fears of falling victim of the murky political waters in my youth.
It gladdens my heart that I have been able to allay such fears. I AM NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN!
I am confident to add that besides being in the race, I am not out for a do or die ambition. One is in politics when our ambition is all about selfless service to the people. An ambition contrary to selfless service is what I am personally out to discourage in our body polity.
Outside political ambition, I will continue working round the clock with my team of astute supporters and volunteers in Toyosi Bolaji Global Foundation to ensure completion of all our programmes lined up to ameliorate the burdens of the less privileged in Yagba West Constituency as we have done for the second year running.
I also use this medium to reassure my teeming supporters that, I, Toyosi Bolaji am determined to live up my dream to ensure the emergence of a better society through good govrrnance and good laws regardless of wether I win the election or not.
It is commonplace that the political atmosphere in Nigeria presently is foggy, which Kogi State and Yagba West are no exceptions, hence our desire to make haste slowly, restrategize and expand our consultative drive. In the next few weeks, we will consult and contact stakeholders within Yagba West Constituency. We will communicate our next moves subsequently.
