The Win With Tinubu (WWT) grassroots mobilization program has announced a major town hall meeting in Idah Federal Constituency, the latest in a series of community engagements building momentum for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.

The announcement came in a press statement from the program’s State Program Coordinator, Hon. Sani Philips, issued in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, on Monday.

The town hall meeting is scheduled to hold on September 3, 2026 at Mary Pat Event Centre, UEC Primary School, Sabongari, Idah, Kogi State.

Philips described the gathering as part of a deliberate, sustained push to connect directly with communities across the state — the kind of ground-level organizing he says ultimately decides elections.

“Grassroots mobilization is fundamental to winning elections,” Philips said, stressing that victory comes not from public rallies alone but from the relationships built within communities and neighborhoods, one person at a time.

Themed “Unity for Sustainable Development in Kogi East Senatorial District,” the town hall is designed to bring together a broad cross-section of Idah Federal Constituency: political leaders, party faithful, traditional and community leaders, youth and women’s groups, and other key stakeholders. Organizers say the event will center on open dialogue around unity and continuity as pillars of sustainable development for the district.

For WWT, the meeting is about more than messaging — it’s about listening. According to the statement, the goal is to hear directly from residents at the grassroots level, address their concerns head-on, and forge stronger partnerships for development, so that communities feel genuinely included in the vision for a brighter future under President Tinubu’s leadership.

The program is highlighting what it calls the achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda, with organizers framing the town hall as a chance to build trust and restore confidence in that vision among Idah constituents ahead of the re-election bid.

WWT’s Kogi State leadership has extended an open invitation to residents and stakeholders throughout Idah Federal Constituency, describing the event as one that promises to be educative, renewing, and reassuring. Party faithful, traditional rulers, youth organizations, women’s associations, professionals, and other community stakeholders are being encouraged to attend and take an active part in the discussion.

The Win With Tinubu Grassroots Mobilization Program in Kogi State is jointly sponsored by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District and chairs WWT, and Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho), who represents Kogi East Senatorial District and serves as WWT co-chairman — both driving the campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in Kogi State.
