Women Are More Credible in Governance Than Men – Tokunbo Awoniyi

Women have been described as more credible when in governance than their male counterparts.

Tokunbo Awoniyi, Wife to the Kogi State Deputy Governor, stated this in Mopa-muro Local Government Area of Kogi State at a meeting and prayer session held by Women Leaders of the area for the quick recovery of the State Governor, Capt Idris Wada, who was recently involved in an auto crash.

The Wife of the Deputy Governor, en joined women to rise to the occasion and join hands in producing leaders and representatives that will move the nation forward.

Mrs Awoniyi, appealed to women to always  support women seeking political positions as records have shown that women elected and appointed into positions have proven their mettle and have been a credit.

Mrs Awoniyi,described women as strong willed than their men counterparts but have been relegated to the background said the time to make themselves relevant is now.

She added that women have stronger power in the home as they are charged with fending for the home,raising up the children and bringing them up properly.

Earlier in her remarks, Grace Ojo, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter governmental, who led in the prayers and supplication for the Governor and the State said the meeting and prayers had become necessary to help in the quick recovery of the State Governor and to fast track development in the state.
