The people of Okene/Ogori–Magongo Federal Constituency have been reassured of an uncommon commitment to peace building and development by the member representing the area in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Yusuf Tijani Damisa.
The legislator advocated for building of consensus to promote peace in the area and advised that love for neighbours must reign supreme amongst the People. He also argued that the development of his Constituency and Kogi Central in general can be achieved through the completion and full operation of the Ajaokuta Steel Company which have been neglected by successive Federal Governments.
The Legislator gave these insights when he played host to a Built Environment and Rural Development Practitioner from his Constituency, Engr. Oladipo Makakese Bayode.
The august visitor was quoted as saying, “he was at the National Assembly to thank the legislator for remaining accessible to his people which he described is one of the main prerequisite to good legislative democracy worldwide”. The duo had useful progressive conversation on ways to empowering the people.
The legislator further appealed to the guest, who he described as a frank political activist, to help advocate for continuous friendship and peace of his constituency and promised to always stand by his people always.
