The Chief of Staff to Kogi State governor, Honourable Edward Onoja has said that the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is here to make a big difference in the state, in terms of infrastructural development, wealth creations, empowerment, education and delivery of qualitative health care system throughout the entire state.
He stated this in Lokoja during the weekend when some members of All Progressives Congress (APC) paid him a solidarity visit in his office over governor Yahaya Bello Appeal court victory.
According to him, governor Bello is desirous in bringing the desire change to the people and improving the welfares of all in the state including the civil servants, artisans, market women, students in line with the manifesto’s of our great and President Buhari vision for the country.
Onoja stated that there is no amount of false media campaign from the oppositions both within and outside the ruling party that can distract the present government in the state from carrying out its policies of reforms in the system, in restoring the state to where it ought to have been.
He addedย “So, together, we have to cleared away the rubble of mess, and we can say with renewed confidence that the State is on course to greatness.
“Gov. Bello’s government is for all,ย irrespective of your tribe or religion, there will be no preferential treatments in this government. Everything would be base on merit, we’re to serve and deliver, build a lasting legacies.
“We’re very much aware of the numerous problems on ground but gov Bello has the template to overcome them. Although, some toes have been stepped upon in the process, they are fighting back. When you fight corruption, corruption fights back, that is our experience so far, but by God grace we shall get the job done for the people and we are on course”, he said.
Responding, the leader of the group, Enejo Ibrahim who congratulated the gov on his victory at Appeal court, describing the governor ascension to power as an acts of God. He appeal to the opposition to join hands with the governor, saying now that both tribunal and court of Appeal has upheld the election.
He praised the the governor for his efforts in repositioning the state especially bringing sanity into the civil service in the state and the issue of ghost workers that have plague the state and made it difficult for progress to take place.
Ibrahim commended the governor for his style of leadership since assuming office.
The group pledged their support to the government and call on everybody especially the youths to do so.
