In accordance with Kogi State House of Assembly resolution, the state government yesterday imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in Okene, Okehi and Adavi local government areas of the state following the mysterious killings and disappearance of innocent citizens in the affected areas.

The affected local government areas where the incessant killings have been taking place are all in the central senatorial district of the state.

The government said the measure was necessary to protect lives and property and prevent further breakdown of law and order in the area.

Also, the state government banned okada operation in these three local governments between 7pm and 6am. It was also made mandatory for any Okada rider in the affected areas to wear a Reflective jacket with identification number boldly written on it.
