US Embassy Abuja Visits YALI Network Kogi

Delegates from the United State Embassy in Abuja recently hosted  a meet and greet event with members of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network in Kogi State at the Reverton Hotel in Lokoja.
The Cultural Affairs Officer of the US Embassy, Abuja,  Mr. Larry Socha commended members of the Young African Leaders Initiative in Kogi State for efforts made by the group thus far adding that the network had made an overwhelming impression on the United States Embassy.
Also speaking, the Country Public Affairs Officer, Mr. Aruna Amirthanayagam noted that he was very happy to meet the members of the YALI Network Face2Face group in Kogi State.
The Cultural Affairs Officer introduced  the Programmes Coordinator, Mandela Washington Fellowship/Young African Leaders Initiative, Mr. Diran Adegoke who encouraged the network to do more by spreading the tentacles of its reach by executing projects of impact in their communities. He also commended the TEDx Ganaja initiative of some members of the network.
The Programmes Coordinator, Mandela Washington Fellowship/ Young African Leaders Initiative  further encouraged members to participate actively in the monthly Face2Face meetings organized by the network.
Similarly, the Education USA Adviser, Miss. Malate Atajiri in a chat with members of the network discussed the Graduate Study opportunities at the US Embassy and how to acquire them which she noted will provide students with opportunities for scholarships.
In her address, the Coordinator of the Young African Leaders Initiative in Kogi State, Eunice Emmanuel-Bagi  thanked the US Embassy Abuja for it’s support to the YALI Network in Kogi State, she further thanked active members of the network and encouraged others to be more committed and emphasized the need for team work.
