Chairman, Kogi State chapter of Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) and Administrator of Ijumu Local Government Area Council, Hon. Taufiq Isa was on Saturday conferred with an honorary Doctor of Political Science by Ecole Superieure De Technologie ET DE Gestion University (ESTG), Cotonou,Republic of Benin.
The decoration took place at the conference hall of the University.
The President/Founder of ESTG University, Monsr. Roman Glele, stated that Hon. Taufiq Isa has made great efforts to improve the lives of both young and old through his humanitarian services and he has contributed to the development of students through his scholarship intervention programme.
He said; “On these grounds, I am happy to confer on you this honorary doctorate degree.”
The Administrator, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude to God Almighty, management and staff of ESTG and President Founder/Director ESTG University, Monsr. Roman Glele for finding him worthy of this honor.
He stated that he hope it will be a beacon for other politicians to emulate his humanitarian service.
The ALGON Chairman dedicated the award to the executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and Ijumu sons and daughters.
The Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Tolorunleke, a board member, Hon. Esemikose Femi, family and friends graced the occasion.
