Sallah: Ex-Kogi Governor, Son Greets Moslems

Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has called on Muslims to practice the lessons learnt from the just concluded ramadan fast.

In a message of congratulations to Moslems on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Fitr celebrations, the Jakadan Sokoto tasked Moslems to continue the practice of love, discipline, charity and kindness.

He urged the Moslems to extend their celebrations to Christian brothers and sisters, as there is love in sharing with one another outside religious boundary.

In the same vein, former PDP governorship aspirant in Kogi state, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris asked the people of the state not to use the occasion for merry making alone, but pray for Kogi state and Nigeria.

Abubakar, son of the former governor, said the present developments in the country deserve solemn prayers and supplications towards peace and unity, as well as peaceful co-existence.

He urged the people to imbibe the good culture and practice of prophet Mohammed and the followers that is guided by the five pillars of Islam with Ramadan fast as one of the cardinal pillars.

He congratulated Moslems for witnessing this year’s occassion of Ramadan fast and sallah celebrations, praying for more years of such.
