The apex organ of the National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) has presented an award of excellence to her pioneer President, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju in recognition of his contribution to the association.
The Award which was presented yesterday at the Dinner Night organized in celebration of the 10years Anniversary of the association was well attended by the creme de la creme of Okun land at galaxy hotel, Kabba.
The National President of NAOS, Comrade Adeyemi Gbenga in his remarks described Comrade Tosin Adeyanju as a visionary leader whose vision of 10 years ago gave birth to this noble association called NAOS. “We must imbibe the culture of celebrating our own people who has distinguished themselves in their choose career, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju is a house hold name in unionism and activism across board in Nigeria. We are proud to be associated with him”, NAOS President said.
The award was jointly presented to Comrade Tosin by all the past national president of NAOS which has in attendance Comrade Segun Amupitan, Alamoh Kehinde Samuel (AKS), Obasun Emmanuel and Comrade Cephas Alepa. Also present at the landmark event are former National Senators of the Association such as Sen. Olorunhudo Taiwo, Sen. Ehinmodu Gbenga and host of others.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Tosin Adeyanju thanked the leaders and member of the National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) for honouring him. He expressed his joy for seeing the association he and some other comrades started from the scratch growing to the admiration of everybody. He promised to do his best to sustain the growth of the association.
Comrade Tosin Adeyanju is the executive Director of Conscience Nigeria and the Head of Protocol of Goodluck Support Group.
He was accompanied to the event by his Amiable wife Mrs Gloria Adeyanju, his brother Mr Deji Adeyanju, his friend Barr Jaiye Ajayi and his personal assistant Comrade Opeyemi Duke.
