The Okun Development Association (ODA) has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun, on the second year anniversary on the revered throne of his forefathers as the Elulu of Mopa.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Thomas, the Okun Development Association noted that Elulu’s ascension to the throne two years ago came with great expectations, and the monarch has met them with dignity, accessibility, and purposeful leadership.
“In a relatively short time, you have emerged as a unifying force across Mopamuro, Okunland, and Kogi State. Your ability to bridge tradition with modernity has earned you the admiration of both the young and the elderly, while your unwavering commitment to peace and development has restored confidence in the institution of traditional leadership.

“Under your guidance, Mopa land has witnessed renewed vigor in community cohesion, cultural pride, and advocacy for infrastructure and development. Your interventions in peacebuilding, youth engagement, and sustainable development have shown that the throne can be a powerful instrument for positive change. The Okun Development Association acknowledges your fatherly role in fostering harmony and your tireless efforts to place Mopamuro firmly on the path of progress.
“Kabiyesi, your reign stands as a beacon for Okunland and a reminder that traditional rulers remain vital partners in governance. You have demonstrated the capacity to rally people toward shared goals while preserving our cultural heritage. The respect you command across communities speaks to the integrity, humility, and wisdom with which you carry the crown.
“As you celebrate this milestone, the Okun Development Association reaffirms its commitment to work alongside you and the Mopamuro Traditional Council in advancing the interests of Okun people. We pray that the Almighty grants you continued wisdom, good health, and long life on the throne of your ancestors.
“May your reign be marked by greater peace, prosperity, and honor for Mopa land and for all of Okunland,” the statement added.
