Minor Cabinet Reshuffle in Kogi

The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello yesterday approved the immediate redeployment of some principal aides in his cabinet.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the government of Kogi State, Dr. Mrs Ayoade Folashade Arike, the reshuffling became imperative in order to inject fresh ideas, creativity and innovations into the system, to help drive the New Direction Agenda of the present administration.

The Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Alhaji Mohammed Awwal Imam has been re-deployed to Culture and Tourism as Commissioner,  while Mallam Abdulkarim Abdulmalik the Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Planning to the governor was re-deployed to Ministry of Information as Director- General, Bureau of Information Services and Grassroots Mobilization.

Others are Mr. Kingsley Fanwo the Chief Press Secretary to the governor as Director- General, Media and Publicity to the governor, Mrs. Petra Akinti Onyegbule Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Electronic Media is now Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Barrister Moses Okafor Senior Special Assistant on Research and

Development and Speech Writer to the governor as Director-General, Bureau of Research and Development and Speech Writer while Mr. Gbenga Olorunpomi Senior Special Assailant on New Media to the governor is now Senior Special Assistant on Electronic Media to the governor.

The statement urged those affected to see their new office as a call to offer better and more effective services, requesting them to show more commitment in carrying out their functions in accordance with the New Direction Agenda of the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration.
