The Office of Senator Isah Jibrin, popularly known as Echocho, representing Kogi East Senatorial District, has forcefully debunked circulating claims alleging a private meeting or interface between the lawmaker and Chief Joseph Ameh Erico, describing the reports as entirely false, misleading, and a calculated attempt to misinform the general public.
Reacting to a photograph making the rounds on social media, the Senator’s media office clarified that the image merely captured Senator Echocho in a public political gathering alongside another individual, emphasizing that the picture has been deliberately misrepresented to fabricate a false narrative.
According to the official statement, the photo alone does not establish any private engagement, meeting, or political alignment with Erico.

Expressing deep concern over the trend, the Senator’s office raised the alarm regarding the increasing misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and digital platforms to manufacture false stories, distort facts, and deceive unsuspecting members of the public.
The statement emphasized that political engagement and discourse must at all times be anchored on integrity, factual accuracy, and responsible communication, rather than wild speculation and digitally fabricated content.
Reaffirming his political allegiance, the statement asserted for the avoidance of doubt that Senator Isah Jibrin remains a steadfast, firm, and loyal member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). It noted that the lawmaker remains undeterred and fully focused on his primary legislative responsibilities, political engagements, and unwavering commitment to delivering quality representation to the people of Kogi East.
While assuring supporters that the Senator will not be distracted by unnecessary political side-attractions or deliberate attempts to cause confusion, the office issued a stern warning that it reserves full legal rights to seek appropriate redress through lawful channels against those perpetuating malicious falsehoods.
The public, political stakeholders, and social media users are strongly advised to exercise caution, verify news sources, and desist from spreading unverified information.
