The Patriotic Movement for Asiwaju (PMA), a support group aligned with the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), has pledged to secure more than two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.
The National Coordinator of the group, Hajia Hon. Zainab Cengiz Abbas, made the declaration during a press briefing held in Abuja on Monday. She revealed that nationwide structures have already been established to mobilise grassroot support for the President’s re-election bid.
According to Abbas, the movement operates across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), providing it with the organizational capacity and extensive network required to drive voter engagement across local communities. She noted that the group’s experience during similar mobilisation drives in the 2023 general election has significantly strengthened its operational strategy for the 2027 polls.
Highlighting the achievements of the current administration, the national coordinator commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms and policy directions aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable development. She acknowledged that while large-scale reforms often present temporary hardships, they remain vital for laying the foundation for long-term national prosperity.
Abbas appealed to citizens to exercise patience and continue supporting the administration’s developmental programs, assuring that the policies would ultimately deliver their intended benefits. She added that the PMA would intensify its community engagement and voter education efforts across the country to ensure its two-million-vote target is realized ahead of the general election.
