…Yahaya Bello is courting disaster – Fani Kayode

Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye has apologized to Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) over Governor Yahaya Bello’s remarks at the Presidential Villa yesterday.

In the meeting with President Buhari on Thursday, the Bishops told the President that Nigerians were angry as a result of alleged bad governance and imbalance in the system. But in his response, Governor Bello was quoted to have said that some religious leaders were angry because avenues to loot money and take to the Churches and Mosques have been blocked by the Buhari’s government.

Reacting to Governor Bello’s tirade, Senator Melaye said Bello’s head requires “equational balances”

“I apologize to the Catholic Church and the Christian community for the verbal diarrhea of the governor of Kogi State.

“It is more obvious than ever that he need some equational balances on his head. This affliction on Nigeria shall not arise a second time,” he said.

Reacting to Gov. Bello’s remarks on looting and tithes, a former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode said the Kogi state governor is courting disaster.

In a tweet this morning, Fani-Kayode said: “Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi state is looking for trouble and courting disaster. His gratuitous insult on hardworking and tithe-paying Christians has not gone unnoticed. If he does not sheath his sword we will unleash a verbal blizkrieg on his ugly head from which he may never recover”
