The completion of Ajaokuta Steel Company would be the one that would propel economic development and bring prosperity to Kogi State
Permanent member of Local Government Service Commission, Momoh Ateve Aziz, who stated this, appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to, therefore, make the completion a priority.
Speaking after he was presented an award for exemplary leadership by the Ebira Peoples Association, Lokoja branch, he noted that aside employment opportunities that will be generated, Ajaokuta Steel, will serve as an alternative source of revenue for the country.
He commended the association for its outstanding role in bringing the people together, saying that such effort will go a long way in attracting development to the area
He promised to continue to contribute to the development of the area, through investment in the education and youth development.
The president of the forum, Alhaji Abdulkareem Obeito, noted that the awardee had contributed to the development of Ebira land and Kogi State and called on the people of the area to emulate the outstanding leadership qualities of Aziz by striving to bring development to the area.
