The newly appointed Secretary of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi state, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Onipe, has empowered residents across the 11 wards in the LGA, giving them financial assistance to boost their economic status.
Aside from the financial empowerment, he also hosted the leaders to Iftar (breaking of fast) at his residence at Okunchi.
The local government scribe, popularly known as MKO in Adavi, explained that the gesture was part of his continuous reach out to his people in the grassroot at all time but decided to improve on the welfare of his people when he was appointed which are geared towards the development of his people.
He noted that the gesture was aimed at alleviating the suffering of his people, adding that the “Women Cash Empowerment” is necessary so that they (women) can start something on their own.
The Adavi Scribe explained that the empowerment will reduce the rate of unemployment in the local government especially in his domain.
“Apart from this women cash empowerment that we are doing here today, it is also in my plan to empower men across the 11 wards in Adavi. Soon, things get improved,” he said.
He equally used the opportunity to appreciate the state party chairman, Alh Abdullahi Bello (Dollar) for his leadership prowess in Adavi.
He commend Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his guidance and opportunity to serve his people at the grassroot.
Those in attendance were the critical stakeholders across the 11 wards in Adavi which consists of APC ward chairmen, women leaders, GYB ward coordinators and others.
