Immediate past Secretary of Okun Development Association (ODA), Chief Ben Ayo Abereoran, has picked the Social Democratic Party (SDP) nomination and intent forms to contest for the chairmanship of Mopamuro local government council.
Addressing newsmen after obtaining his form, Abereoran said his major priority, if elected, is to empower the youths through skills acquisition, assist women with soft loans to improve their businesses and harness the untapped abundant resources in the local government for its development.
He said Mopamuro local government is rich and if they are able to harness its abundant resources, they won’t need to depend on what comes from the federation account.
Abereoron thanked all party leaders of the SDP in the area for their support and promised not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him.
A leader of SDP, Hon. Joseph Omadara, described Chief Abereoron as a God fearing man who believes in equity, fairness and justice.
