CSCHEI Appoints Opeyemi Duke as Kogi State Programme Director

Civil society organisations on community advancement and humanitarian empowerment initiatives in Nigeria CSCHEI has appointment Hon Adetayo Opeyemi Duke as the Kogi state programme director.

Opeyemi Duke was inaugurated along side 35 other state directors and that of the FCT at the unveiling of the organisation in Abuja on Thursday.

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Dimeji Bankole who chaired the inaugural meeting and unveiling of CSCHEI, charged the organisation to take actions that will positively project Nigeria.

In his remarks, the Director General of CSCHEI, Hon Kunle Yusuf MON, said the core mandate of the organization is to coordinate, organize and mobilize non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Faith Based Organisations (FBOs) on community advancement and humanitarian empowerment in Nigeria.

Hon Yusuf therefore charged the state Programme Directors to aggressively pursue the core mandate of CSCHEI by collaborating and synergizing with the focal person on Sustainable Development Goals, Local Government authorities, traditional institutions and community development councils to deliver on their mandate.

Dignitaries present at the unveiling of CSCHEI includes; the Belgium Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Ambassador Pieter Leenknegt; the Chairman, Senate committee on basic and secondary education, Senator Lawan Adamu Usman; former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Alhaja Buhari Bala; former Special Adviser to the President on Social Development and Special Duties, Mrs Sara Akuben Pane and host of others.
