Hon. Musa Asiru Bakare has praised the appointment of Tosin Johnson Adeyanju as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement on Monday evening, Hon Bakare described the appointment as a reflection of Adeyanju’s “competence, integrity, and outstanding record of public service.”

Bakare pointed to Adeyanju’s tenure at the NLTF as evidence of the leadership and professionalism required for the new assignment.

“As he assumes this new role, I pray that Almighty God grants him wisdom, strength, good health, and outstanding success as he serves our nation,” he prayed.

Bakare also commended President Tinubu for the appointment, saying it underscored the administration’s stated commitment to merit in public sector appointments. He extended prayers for wisdom, strength, and success as Adeyanju settles into the role, closing his message with congratulations to “my brother” and wishes for “a fruitful and impactful tenure.”

RMAFC is the federal constitutional body responsible for monitoring accruals into the Federation Account, advising on revenue allocation formulas, and guiding fiscal policy at the national level. Adeyanju’s move into the Secretary position places him at the center of that mandate.

Adeyanju’s redeployment was announced alongside several other federal appointments, including new commissioners to the RMAFC and the National Population Commission, as well as leadership changes at agencies such as the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc and the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. According to the presidency, all the appointments took immediate effect.
