Sir,

LETTER OF COMPLAIN

I Waniko Deborah, Association General Secretary and indigene of Bassa Local Government, submitted my complain from the Association of People Living With Disabilities (KOSAPLWDs), Kogi State Chapter, and some of the association members brought to your notice the maladaptive behaviour of the chairman, Arome Ibrahim and some of the members of the association parading themselves to Government House to nominate the chairman of the association to become the SSA, which is not acceptable to most of us.

It may also interest you to know that 21 LGAs rejected the nomination. So therefore, I am appealing to His Excellency to kindly choose wisely for our people. We have been suffering setback since our men from Kogi East in the association always occupied the seat of the SSA, we have not been recording any achievements by our SSAs. We have been fighting for inclusion, but we are the problem to ourselves.

The chairman and his cohort discriminate against the women not to occupy any seat in the Government. Please kindly look into this matter with the fear of God and choose for us wisely. What a man can do a woman can do better. The point I am making here is that, the seat is not customized for men alone, and it is not for Igala alone, and it is not bad if it circulate the three (3) Senatorial Districts.

Also, the chairman, Arome Ibrahim can not give account of the running of Association since he assumed office. He should be called upon to bring the statement of account of the stipend been given to the association every month by the State Government. I humbly wait for usual actions.

Yours Obediently,

Waniko Deborah,
Assistant Secretary, KOSAPLWDs
