KSU Kabba Ready for Greater Heights, Governing Council Assures Education Commissioner

The governing council of Kogi State University (KSU) Kabba has commended the State Commissioner for Education, Hon Wemi Jones, for the notable accomplishments in the institution.

Chairman of the governing council, Prof Suleiman Sadiku, have the commendation when he led other council members on a visit to the Commissioner in Lokoja on Friday.

Prof Sadiku assured the Commissioner that the university is ready to soar to new heights.

Highlighting the remarkable progress made by the university under the watchful eyes of the Commissioner, Prof Sadiku noted that KSU Kabba achieved the fastest Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) approval.

He also commended the efforts of the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and the current governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, for their dedication to the development of the university.

The chairman of the governing council expressed gratitude to the royal fathers and the host community for their support, and assured the commissioner of their commitment to achieving the university’s vision of becoming a world-class institution.

He described the commissioner as a good man and pledged to work tirelessly to ensure the university’s success.

In response, Hon Wemi Jones expressed his delight in witnessing the progress of the university, which he referred to as a dream turned into reality.

He credited the former governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his vision and leadership in establishing the university, and applauded Governor Usman Ododo for continuing the legacy.

The commissioner encouraged the council to explore business ventures that would contribute to the university’s growth and sustainability.

He also promised his unwavering support and emphasized the importance of rapid development for the institution.

The visit concluded with plans to mobilize contractors for construction works on the campus within the next few weeks.
