TEXT OF A PRESS CONFERENCE BY THE DIRECTOR OF SOCIAL MEDIA, PRINCE ABUBAKAR AUDU CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION, COMRADE ODAUDU JOEL MINISTER, ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2015.
Gentlemen of the Press,
You are welcome to this very important Press Conference.
We are deeply concerned by the high degree of disinformation and inexactitudes going abuzz on the social media and being peddled around by the chums and advocates of the Wada Campaign Organization, particularly their paid agents and sponsored mouthpieces on Facebook and Twitter about our State party Chairman, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo’s purported pronouncement that our esteemed gubernatorial candidate and party flag-bearer, Prince Abubakar Audu will return an allegedly stolen 11 billion naira to the State coffers if re-elected.
In the last one week, the Wada Media Team and enemies of our great party have been flooding the social media with canards and series of tales by moonlight in a desperate attempt to mislead the people of Kogi State and our well-wishers in diaspora. The online community and general public have been swamped with white lies and copious fibs in this regard to malign our governorship candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu. This sort of propaganda is quintessential of a hogwash, absurdity, and the height of infantilism.
The Prince Abubakar Audu Campaign Organization wish to categorically inform the good people of Kogi State that the plethora of social media reports and publications in a number of blogs and the print media which quoted the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kogi State Chapter, Alhaji Hadi Ametuo, of assuring the people of Kogi State that the APC governorship candidate, Prince Abubakar Audu would refund an 11 billion naira he allegedly stole while in office when re-elected are nothing but dirty lies and trumped up stories from the pit of hell sponsored by the already internally and externally wrecked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, and diffused by their paid handlers. Alhaji Ametuo never made such pronouncement on any occasion, and we implore the general public to disregard this mendacious information which is purely made in Taiwan.
By and large, no amount of dirty propaganda can diminish the swelling popularity and acceptance of Prince Abubakar Audu in the State, as no degree of concocted tales can forestall his victory at the 21st November, 2015 gubernatorial poll. The PDP governorship candidate, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada and his pocket of supporters who have lost ground and relevance in Kogi State politics have resorted to campaign of calumny and character assassination against Prince Abubakar Audu, an undertaking which can never bail them out of their current irretrievable political calamity.
As we already know, the PDP in Kogi State and in all over Nigeria is notoriously known to be a symbol representing multidimensional shenanigans; a party of traducers that is being led and inspired by a microscopic cabalistic cult of shameful fablers, tricksters and cheap propaganda merchants. In the PDP there is no truth as mendacity is their second nature and natural habitat.
We hereby call on all our well-wishers on the social media, all party faithful and all Prince Abubakar Audu Support Groups not to remain silent in the face of these distortions, malignity, and shenanigans by the PDP and their media agents. Let us not be weary of speaking out on what we know about the propaganda and falsehood of the opposition PDP. We have come to know them inside out and can neither be deterred nor intimidated by their campaign of calumny.
