Kogi Speaker to Train 105 Youths in Computer Operation

Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole has promised to train 105 youths in Computer Operation across the state.
The Speaker made the promise over the weekend in Lokoja at the graduation ceremony of 60 youths who benefited from the Free Computer Training Program initiated by Comrade Sarah Yusuf, the Women Leader, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole commended the initiator for embarking on such a laudable program geared towards redirecting the upcoming generation on the path of a productive life.
According to him, such programmes have the potentials of empowering the youths with requisite knowledge in computer operation that would made such individuals to be self reliant in life.
He eulogized the courage of Comrade Sarah for taken out her time with her resources to nurture fellow youths in order for them to become useful for themselves.
He also commended the state leadership of NYCN ably led by Comrade Dele Nihi for providing the quality platform for the programme to hold, urging them to bring up more initiatives that will be of benefit to the youths in the State.
Congratulating the graduants, the Speaker charged them to hold tenaciously to the knowledge they have acquired in the course of the training program, noting that such training will go a long way to help them.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole said he is always ready to support any effort geared towards assisting the younger generation, stressing that the leadership of the youth council should nominate 5 youths per local government area across the State, bringing the number to 105 that will be trained in computer operation.
By the announcement, the programme is expected to commence as soon as the nomination is made by the youth council.
