Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole says he received the devastating news of the demise of the mother of Alhaji Jibrin Momoh, Kogi State Accountant General, whose death occurred in early of Thursday at the aged of 78, with shock.

The Speaker who sympathized with the Accountant General over the demise of his mother, noted that it is painful to lose a loved one especially the vessel through which God brought him to the world, stressing that it is a bitter pill to swallow.

He said though he did not have the opportunity to know or interact with her while he was alive but the good account given by others about him showed that she was a virtuous woman who trained her children in the way of the Lord, no wonder one of his offsprings is now State Accountant General who is contributing meaningfully to the overall development of the state.

He urged the family to take solace from the words of God which says there is time to be born and time to died, noting that every mortal at one time or the other, will surly died when the time comes.

Also, the Executive Chairman of Adavi local government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, described late Hajia Hajara as a beautiful mother, admitting that she will greatly be missed and not just by her immediate family but the entire community she lived in Adavi LGA.

The Council Boss, while commiserating with Alh. Jibril and the entire family on behalf of the good people of Adavi LG, said “Hajia Hajara lives a fulfilled life, no doubt but there is no point in life at which we wish to lose loved ones. Sadly, death is inevitable as it is a compulsory price everyone must pay at a specific time.

“It is my earnest prayers that God Almighty forgive her shortcomings and reward her good deeds with paradise, and grant her immediate family, most especially Accountant General of Kogi State (Alh. Jibril) the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Amen.”
