- Tasks FG on Insecurity, Rule of Law

The Kogi State 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Alhaji Mubarak Musa Abuche has called on the Federal Government to do everything possible in ending the endemic problems of insecurity as well as commit to all legal proceedings that will institutionalise the rule of law in Nigeria.
Alhaji Mubarak, who made the call in his congratulatory message to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on Monday urged other political party leaders not to lose sight of the rule of law and ensure that the labour, struggle and sacrifices citizens invests into elections with a view to entrenching good governance are not in vain.
He said, “It’s been twenty-four years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria and we must thank God for the political stability we have been enjoying amidst the incessant security challenges bedeviling the country.
“I salute those who made this day possible, most particularly those who sacrificed their lives for us to have the much cherished democratic transition we are experiencing today. We are indeed indebted to them. They are our heroes and the Federal Government must do everything to improve on the security architecture for the peace and stability of this nation.
“I also congratulate Nigerians, the beneficiaries of this national rebirth for their patience and resilience in the past twenty four years. I call on the Government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to do everything necessary and possible to deploy security apparatus towards ending the endemic problems of insurgency, kidnapping, banditry and all forms of violence across the country as this is the greatest enabler of peace — the prerequisite for progress and sustainable socio-economic development.”
The gubernatorial candidate further called on political leaders, especially those in opposition not to lose confidence in the Nigerian systems stressing that amidst the salient alleged miscarriage of justice during judicial proceedings, the new President having been a several beneficiary of the nation’s judicial system must do everything to uphold the rule of law for the survival of democracy in Nigeria.
“I enjoin you all Noble politicians to continually team up with the government and our fellow country men and women to make the sacrifices of the veterans of democracy, the sacrifices of the dead and living legends count as we continue to canvass for the enthronement of good governance for the benefit of the present and coming generation of Nigerians.”
Alhaji Mubarak who expressed every confidence of emerging victorious in the November 11th Governorship election in Kogi State thereafter congratulated his party man and Kano State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Abba Yusuf on behalf of the leadership and Members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kogi State as He wished the party’s lone Governor an eventful tenure in office.
