Kogi NEWMAP Concludes Bidding for Gully Erosion Sites in Ogugu, Agassa, Okene

Nigeria Erosion and Watershed Management Project (NEWMAP), Kogi State project office has successfully conducted the bid opening, with respect to the procurement of works for gully stabilization, reclamation, channelling and remediation for two of its gully erosion sites at Adum Road, Ogugu and Agassa, Okene gully erosion sites.

The Project Coordinator, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto, while presenting her opening remarks, thanked the prospective bidders for their interest in developing the State, whilst also assuring them that the transparent nature of the exercise would ensure that only the best responsive bidder would be considered for the job

On his part, the Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Hon. (Pharm.) Sanusi Usman Yahaya assured all present that the government of Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is very passionate about eradicating the menace of gully erosion in the State hence, his unfettered support for the activities of Kogi NEWMAP.

A total of 23 bids were received and opened, and all the prospective bidders, who were in attendance, showed appreciation for the transparency of the entire process.
