Inline with the Federal Ministry of Education directive, Kogi state government has inaugurated the Digital Nigeria Education Management Information System (DNEMIS) Portal Committee.
The Committee has the Statistician General of the State, Mrs. Ayoalari Irewole as the Chairman.

Other members of the committee are; Dr. Animoku Ahman Elizabeth, Director Educational Planning Research and Statistics Ministry of Education; Mrs. Opaluwa Ruth S, Director Quality Assurance Ministry of Education; Chief Abdulmumini O, Director Social Mobilization, SUBEB; Usman Aliu Asibita, Director Quality Assurance, SUBEB; Enwuchiola Isaac Ele, Director Planning, Research and Statistics, SUBEB; Alhassan S. Adakeke, Board Secretary, SUBEB, and Saidu A. Usman, Director Administration and Supply, SUBEB.
Inaugurating the committee in Lokoja on Tuesday, the State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, charged them to ensure that data generated are qualitative and accurate.
While reiterating the commitment of the state to accessible and quality education, the Commissioner said qualitative and accurate information is needed for proper planning and policy formulation.
The Commissioner was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Alabi Albert Bamigbade.
In her address, the Chairman of the Committee, Mrs. Ayoalari Irewole thanked the Government of Kogi State for counting them worthy to serve in the committee and promised to ensure that the State is not under and over reported in the 2026 Annual School Census Exercise.
The inauguration of the committee signals the importance the State Government places on credible data for decision making, she noted.
She called on members of the committee to bring up diligence, integrity and teamwork to deliver timely, reliable and actionable statistics that support the State Education Development Plan.
Meanwhile, the training of all Schools Data Officers on how to upload their schools data using the newly introduced Digital Nigeria Education Management Information System (DNEMIS) portal began today for schools in Lokoja Local Government Area of the State.
The training of schools at the Senatorial Districts will commence next week.
