For umpteenth times, I have maintained serenity, observing the activity trends within our political circle. Usually, I expect Kogites to have learnt acrimonious lessons. Such that, they will not settle for anything less than the irresistible public concerns. Candidly, some had taken the bold step though. But the unscrupulous elements whose conscience have been used to initiate loyalty to Yahaya Bello’s ostracized government are pushing rigorously, their stock of tirade and brandishing to public domain.
Most actively, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, the Director General of media and publicity to the state government, no longer go home after the close of work due to the tasking job of repackaging an ineffective product. The warnings that Bello is not good for second term has murdered his sleep. As things stood, he may not sleep till November 2nd.
Before now, I have presaged that our problem is not wholly the government. Our albatross are the image makers. We don’t have political appointees with conscience. What we have instead are confidants of evil plotters. They will never see the truth from both sides. As a matter of fact, their job description is ill-disposed to what is officially required of them.
In Kogi state, Yahaya Bello’s nepotistic government has a different meaning- the new direction government. When he loots, they tell us he is planning to build a better Kogi state. When civil servants’ salary and entitlement are used to pay pundits, they say he has played host to party faithful (party faith-fools). Even if Fulani herdsmen attacks and leave behind an awakening gory figures, they say Yahaya Bello as an outstanding security expert, wants to make Kogi the highest milk producers in the world. They deliberately provide reason for the procrastinations and ineptitude of this government. But in actual sense, they are blind, deaf and daft. In fact, if these guys are given the opportunity to rule the entire country, they will ask us to worship Satan instead of the almighty God, because their activities toward mankind are not different from satanic agents.
Evangelist Kingsley is undoubtedly confronting the task of returning GYB to Lugard house. Same way he did when the current gangs of democratic rapists sought their ways to power. First, it was a falsehood exoneration of King Herod himself- Edward Onoja. He told us in his article titled THIS EDWARD ONOJA that, Edward is an incurable optimist. Oh yes! That was the genesis of the misleading hypothesis. But to every sane mind, what ensued in the last election, especially the roles he (CEDO) played does not reflect a true character of an optimist. Rather, it was a clear disposition of desperado berthed by selfishness and mediocrity.
You see, each time they tell us that a formidable team actually amassed victory for APC, I begin to wonder if this people actually live in Kogi state. Those of us who were on ground knew some day light rubbers were used to steal people’s mandate.
On the pyrrhic appointment which Kingsley believed to have clamp down on politics of ethnicity, we are not bothered by those Yahaya Bello surrounds himself with, but accurate strategy they have collectively put to bear to ameliorate the awe-inspiring challenges. On this note, I make bold to say, all his appointees, except the few who have taken the bold step of resignation, are merchants of vices. They exists at the whims and caprices of GYB and CEDO’s overreach. Their private live is riddled with character defects and amorality. Their dead conscience cannot distinguish between what is right and what is wrong.
If Kingsley can shun sentiment, on what ground did APC Kogi won the entire assembly seats, two out of three senatorial seats and seven out of Nine house of representative seats? On the past antecedent or on elections that were free and fair? The answer is crystal clear, APC won the last elections massively with the efforts of two categorical tools which Kingsley actually denoted as appointees. The first category (which is where Kingsley belongs) are the Educated. They are populated by the appointees or those who have benefited and are still benefiting from this government. Their job is to deceive the already gullible Kogites via pen and paper. They also undertake false evaluation of GYB’s stewardship. They are those my conscience will never cease from describing as anti-democrats. What they believe and preaches extremely bereft genuine human nature. They are hackers of mindset.
The second category of tools which help amassed the excruciating victories are brigands of power and hoodlums of accursed ancestry. They are morally and academically lacerated. As a matter of fact, they don’t fit into human sceneries. Their character portraits don’t even fit into the zoo animals. But the far forestry where other animals live as lone rangers.
It might interest you to know why I have to sound this way. They derive so much joy in human misery. They kill, maim and destroy without a volte-face. Their means of livelihoods is armament. And if I must confide, whatever APC Kogi or Kingsley tagged as credible in the last elections is actually the aforementioned.
Currently, the first category of tools (the Educated) are on the field with pen and papers. They are deceiving Kogites into considering Bello for second term, even when his sins has appeared before the throne of the almighty. But you know what? I refused to be deceived. My children refused to be deceived. My entire family cannot to be deceived. The unpaid civil servants, including the lecturers working indefatigably to ensure that our children are equipped as leaders of tomorrow, yet can’t afford to train their own children in school due to non-payment of 15-20 months salaries are resolute. Those affected by the perpetual Fulani terrorists’ attacks have refused to be deceived. In fact, if they do, the spirit of their loved ones who were murdered before their very eyes will not forgive them.
So, Kingsley can praise Edward till eternity. That is their own palavers. But the earlier they stop playing God, the better for them. No matter how hard pundits try, Kogi state knows her position with this government and cannot be deterred. But what Kingsley and others don’t know is the fact that the horse with which Bello may ride to power is weak. Those who were with them in the last election are no longer with them. But they are yet to realize that.
Be that as it may, I am not surprised that the Director of Media has to go this low considering his position. The reason is that, between Edward and Yahaya Bello lies the illustrious word of our Lord Jesus Christ- No one cometh unto the father except through me. Ironically, the office which Bello occupies as the state governor is ritualistic. Edward has the final say. And just like the amazing words also spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ- Whoever the son of Man Blesses is blessed indeed, be you Deputy Governor, speaker of the state assembly, CEDO’s anointing is final. No wonder he (Edward) told us in a video that PDP cannot win election under his leadership. I am even appalled by the current permutations that CEDO will succeed GYB. Says who? Can’t they see ‘just recourse’ warming up at the corner? In fact, my day is too precious to be ruined. We shall be engaging Kingsley and co in more critical issues in the second episode of this piece. But before then, Kogites are advised to pray for God’s sanctification of November 2.
