Kogi Group Congratulates Gov. Obiano, Seeks Appointment of Igalas Into Anambra Govt.

The Igala Consultative Forum (ICF) has called on Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state to consider offering cabinet appointments to indigent Igalas in his government.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National Coordinator of ICF, Hon. Aminudeen Ibrahim, the group urged Obiano to give Igalas in Anambra 20 percent cabinet appointment considering the fact that the Igala ethnic group in the State represents about 25 population of Anambra.
“The BoT, NEC and entire members of Igala Consultative Forum (ICF) congratulate Governor Willie Obiano over his victory in the just concluded Anambra governorship election.
“We wish you success and pray that God guides you to continue the work you have been doing since you came on board as Governor of Anambra State nearly four years ago.
“We wish to use this opportunity to draw your attention to the need to recognise Igala people and communities in Anambra state. Igala is second indigenous ethnic group in Anambra State. Igbo and Igala are the only two tribes in the state. We are much gladdened because you hail from the same Senatorial district with Igala people in the
North District.
“We implore you to appoint Igalas into your cabinet, with at least 20% slots as the Igala ethnic group in constitutes about 25% population of Anambra state.
“Also, we call on you to remember infrastructures that are in bad situation and other projects in Igala speaking areas  of the state.” he said.
