Kogi Govt. Releases September FAAC Allocation Figures, Pledge to Pay Workers’ Salary Next Week

Kogi state government has assured civil servants and pensioners in the State that their salaries and pensions will be paid next week.
The State Commissioner for Finance, Asiwaju Idris Asiru disclosed this in a statement released in Lokoja on Friday.
The statement revealed that the State government got a total of N4,190,684,411.08 as allocation for September.
Asiru disclosed that the State government’s allocation was made up of statutory allocation of N3,893,200,763.94, Value Added Tax of N808,623,556.85, exchange gain of N1,883,394.32, and Bank Charges of N34,287,809.24.
Also, he disclosed that the 21 local government councils in the State received a total of N3,413,805,080.58 as allocation for September.
A breakdown of the allocation figures showed that the councils got a statutory allocation of N2,922,705,716.41, Value Added Tax of N553,917,494.80 and exchange gain of N1,413,902.77 and excess bank charges of N25,740,562.11.

Asiru said the State Government will continue to exhibit probity and transparency in handling the finances of the State.

He thanked the civil servants and pensioners for their patience and understanding, saying the State Government will also continue to fund projects that have direct bearing on the citizens of the State.
