The lawmaker representing Okene II Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Zakari Yusuf Eneve on Monday commenced the rehabilitation of boreholes across communities in the constituency as part of his constituency projects.
The intervention is aimed at restoring non-functional water facilities and improving access to clean and potable water for residents, particularly in Abuga, Irayapana and Arigo communities that have experienced water shortages in recent time.
The rehabilitation project is expected to ease the burden on residents who often travel long distances in search of water, while also contributing to improved sanitation, hygiene and overall community wellbeing.

The rehabilitation includes repairs of over head storage tanks, provision of submersible pumps and of course payment of logistics for the smooth execution of the projects.
Leaders of the affected communities who received the items for onward execution thank the lawmaker for giving priority to the wellbeing of his constituents through strategic interventions that touches the lives of the people.
The initiative underscores the lawmaker’s commitment to grassroots development and his determination to provide projects that directly address the basic needs of his constituents.
It could be recalled that the lawmaker had earlier provided industrial borehole to Idoma-uvete and a solar powered borehole to Abuga-eba communities respectively.
In another development, Hon. Zakari had pledged to provides the needed intervention for maintenance and upgrading of a football pitch at Ebira Muslim Community College, Okengwe (EMCCO) as requested by the youths of Okengwe community.
